Most of us have a place in our lives with a need, and in the presence of the Lord there is deliverance, forgiveness, healing, and provision. Let’s offer up a choir of thanksgiving and receive strength and refreshment from His Spirit as we pray together with this short video:
Gratitude completely changes your ability to receive from God. If you can’t be thankful for your circumstances, you can be thankful for the character of God, saying, “God, You are just, You are faithful, You are all-powerful, and You are all-knowing. Nothing is hidden from You. I know You’re aware of what’s happening in my life, and I give You thanks for that. I choose to take off the spirit of despair and put on the garment of praise. I will not give in to the heaviness.”
Gratitude has very little to do with emotion and everything to do with obedience—God told us to give thanks in all things. Let’s make a practice of coming into the presence of the Lord with a heart filled with gratitude and praise.
