I’ve had a series of questions from people lately, and most of the inquiries have to do with the book of Revelation and the End of the Age. There’s a tremendous amount of fear and anxiety attached to them.
While there’s always some apprehension when we talk about conclusions and beginnings, simply because it’s beyond our understanding, I want to encourage you that there doesn’t need to be.
We don’t need to fear the future. God watches over us. God watches over our children and grandchildren. He will lead us through. The psalmist said, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you” (Psalm 56:3). We serve a God who is alive and all-powerful! Remember what Jesus said to John? “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades” (Revelation 1:18). We don’t have to be frightened. There will be a new kingdom and a new authority, and we’re going to spend eternity with Him in that new place. Now that’s something we can look forward to.
If you want to learn more about what Scripture says about the End of the Age and what we can expect as believers, I’ve been discussing it in my series, What Is Ahead? I invite you to watch A Conclusion; A Beginning or The Return of the King to gain some insight and optimism for what’s to come.
Instead of ruminating on question after question with a lot of fear and anxiety, let’s live with hope in the God we serve and His loving care for us. Afterall, how we live our lives reflects what we believe.
