Summertime is growing season in Tennessee. With gardens and crops bursting to life, it’s a great opportunity to grow our children’s faith, too!
We’re in the midst of Character Quest, a week-long day-camp we host for fourth and fifth graders on the World Outreach Church campus. This year, hundreds of children are learning about obedience from the stories of our biblical heroes. In the midst of all the fun, they are forming Christian character and finding ways to make their faith a bigger part of their lives.
Will you join me in praying for these young people and the hundreds of volunteers who make each camp happen? We’re not the only place hosting camps this summer. Let’s also pray for the thousands of children and volunteers who will be attending Christian camps and Vacation Bible Schools across our nation this summer.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for summer camps and for giving us an opportunity to invest in the children’s faith in a meaningful way. Lord, we pray that You would meet each child exactly where they need You, Your Help, and Your encouragement. Thank You for the ways You will grow their faith as they attend these camps. Thank You, also, for the resources and volunteers that make each camp possible at World Outreach Church and beyond. We ask for Your Spirit to move in mighty ways this summer. Bring a new revelation of Yourself to the children attending each camp and the adults serving them. Give them a fresh awareness of Your love, Your power, and Your faithfulness to them. May they fully recognize that obedience to You brings security and blessings, and give them hearts to follow You and Your Word each day of their lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Let’s keep praying for camps throughout the summer. May God use them to bring thousands of children into His Kingdom and closer to Him.
