Pastor Allen was recently a guest on Praise on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) to discuss his latest book, Lead with Faith: Using Your Influence for God’s Purposes.
During the hour-long interview, co-hosts Matt and Laurie Crouch commented on the directness of Pastor Allen’s approach to the challenges of leading with faith, noting that many think that following Christ guarantees an easy path through life.
“We presented faith for too long in terms of conversion…then waiting for the trumpets,” Pastor Allen agreed. “Faith is not a hobby,” he added. “Following the Lord doesn’t remove us from the struggles of life; it gives them a purpose. When you lead with Jesus, you’re going to have struggles, but they will have a purpose.”
