Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer, and we continue to navigate a pivotal season in our nation. It’s an important time to pray for God’s wisdom, strength, and help.

Join Pastor Allen for our National Day of Prayer service tonight, Wednesday,April 30, at 6:30pm CT. If you can’t join us in person, we invite you to watch the service online. We’ll pray for our nation, leaders, military, community, and more.

Then, download these morning, midday, and evening proclamations to use tomorrow—on the official National Day of Prayer. Proclaim them on your own, and invite your family, friends, and coworkers to join you.

As we prepare for the National Day of Prayer, let’s take a minute to pray right now:

Heavenly Father,

We turn our faces to you. You are a faithful God, a God of great compassion and mercy. You have delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of Your Son. Today, we pray for our leaders—for all those in authority—our president, governors, the leaders of our cities and towns—give them wisdom and understanding from You. Direct their decisions, that we may live peaceful lives in godliness and holiness. Grant us a spirit of unity and cooperation. Silence the voices of division and hate. We are a land in need of healing. We have accepted Your great blessings and enjoyed Your protection, but in our pride, we have declared ourselves the source of these divine gifts. Forgive us of our pride, arrogance, and idolatry. As Your people, we know You are a God of justice, but also a God of great mercy and forgiveness. We come today in humility to acknowledge our sin and to repent before You. May Your name be exalted and Your Word be honored across our nation—in our churches, homes, classrooms, courtrooms, and throughout our government.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 tells us, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Thank you for joining us in lifting the United States of America up to God and asking for His help and mercy as we navigate all that’s ahead.
