Morning Prayer
Almighty God,
We turn to You, asking for mercy and grace that we might serve You. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem—may her inhabitants dwell in safety. Open the eyes of the people of the Land to their King. Awaken the Church to complete the assignment You have given. May the leaders of the United States make decisions regarding Israel that will enable Your blessings to come upon us. All this we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Psalms 2:1-6 (NIV®)
1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. 3 “Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.” 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.”
Mid-Day Prayer
Almighty God,
You have blessed us as a people. Our lives have been defined by Your expressions of grace and mercy. You have repeatedly poured out Your Spirit upon us, directing us back to You. Yet, we continue to rebel, to choose unrighteousness and pursue our own interests. Forgive us of our sins, turn our hearts back to You, cleanse us from our filth, renew our hearts, restore our love of Your Word, and deliver us from the spirit of the world. O Lord, You are our hope and our redeemer; we humble ourselves and repent. Look upon us with mercy once again, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Evening Proclamation
Psalm 19:7–11 (NIV84®)
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
