Millions of people across our nation are navigating a severe winter storm this weekend, and we need God’s provision and protection over our families and communities!
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the Creator and Sustainer of all things. We come to You today to pray for those who are in the path of this winter storm. We know You can speak to the wind and the waves, and they obey! We pray You would diminish the power of the storm. We pray for no interruption of electricity, water, or heat in our homes, stores, hospitals, and workplaces. Protect our families, our homes, and our cities. Protect those who venture out in the snow and ice to clear roads, provide resources, and respond to emergencies. May Your provision flow unimpeded to all who need it, especially to the vulnerable and those who need shelter. We also pray for those who are frightened or anxious about the impact of the storm—bring peace to them. May Your comfort rest on Your people. We know that no matter how dark the night or threatening the storm, You are with us, You are sovereign, and we can trust in Your provision and care. In Jesus’ name, amen.
