“There’s no question that those who sacrificed to found our nation believed that the Bible is an essential component to the wellbeing of our nation,” Pastor Allen said. “The question on the table is this: What about us?”
America Reads the Bible, a week-long continuous reading of the Bible from “In the beginning” to “Amen,” is one way to answer Pastor Allen’s question.

America Reads the Bible draws attention to the country’s spiritual roots by featuring national leaders from churches and faith-based organizations, business, and government, in addition to Christian actors, writers, and others.
The Bible will be read from Genesis to Revelation for twelve continuous hours from 9 am to 9 pm EST daily from April 19 to April 25.
