Let's Pray

Some of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions include sweet tea, pecan pie, and gathering with family and friends. We all have our favorite recipes and routines, but it can be challenging to stay focused on God’s blessings amongst all the busy-ness of the season. As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to offer you some helpful tools.

First, Read This Proclamation.

Download this personal proclamation, then read it aloud. In it, you’ll find a variety of truths that will help you remember who God is, who You are, and that He is the Source of all we need. We have so much to be thankful for!

Then, Take Some Notes.

Make a quick list of what God has done in your life this year. What God-stories could you tell at the dinner table? How has He shown Himself to be faithful?

Pray Before Dinner.

Before you dig into the turkey and mashed potatoes, read the short prayer on the bottom of the proclamation page you just downloaded with your friends and family.

Share Your God-stories!

Use your time at the dinner table to share your God-stories from the past year. Look for opportunities to introduce the people around you to what it looks like to follow Jesus in an everyday, intentional way; after all, He wants to be their friend, too!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I look forward to hearing how God is using your life to strengthen His Kingdom this holiday season.
