If you have the symptoms of a cold, you might take Vitamin C and Zinc to restore yourself physically. But what can you do when you’re worn out emotionally and spiritually?
Psalm 143 offers a little bit of a guide to refreshing ourselves in verse 5, which says, “I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all Your works and consider what Your hands have done.” It sounds like the psalmist is fighting against discouragement by making a “good news” list, doesn’t it?
Let’s take a few minutes to be refreshed as we offer a prayer of thanks to God:
Remembering and giving thanks to God for what He has done in our past is absolutely essential for us to complete our assignments in the present and the future. As the challenges grow greater, the deception more intense, and the manipulation more frequent, we have to remember: He has provided for us, He has delivered us, He has healed us, He has forgiven us, and He is making a way!
Onward in Him,
Pastor Allen Jackson
