As churches around the world prepare for Easter, Christians in Iran and Ukraine face hardship and oppression for simply acknowledging Jesus is Lord.
Pastor Allen recently spoke with trusted sources who have first-hand knowledge of the challenges pastors and their congregations face in these areas—and the reasons they have for hope.
Hundreds of thousands of Christians worship in thriving, underground churches in Iran, enduring and suffering much for their faith through decades of oppression and persecution. Now, there are signs that Iranian Christians might soon have greater freedom to express their faith, and hope that Ukrainians will someday find the same.
There are also opportunities for us—as their sisters and brothers in Christ—to share encouragement and financial support. For one week, we invite you to take part in a special collection that will go directly to support pastors and their congregations in these war-torn, oppressed countries. With a small investment of our treasure, we can remind them that they are not alone; God and the Church stand with them.
Join us as we express our freedom and use God’s gifts to bring hope and joy to sisters and brothers in Ukraine and Iran. Please continue to pray for peace and for faith in Jesus to spread in these areas and around the world. May God bring outcomes that show the world He is undeniably King of kings and Lord of lords.
