Join us this Easter!

Mother’s Day is a very special day for my family. When I was seven years old, the doctors told my mom she had six months to live. Even though we went to church every Sunday, and we knew Christian stories and traditions, we didn’t know Jesus. When my parents faced death, there was no comfort in religion.

Through God’s sovereign intervention, my mom’s life was spared, and He revealed Himself to my parents. It changed the course of our lives. That’s what makes Mother’s Day especially meaningful.

Let’s pray for mothers:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for mothers. Thank You for their lives and for the gifts You have given them. They put themselves in harm’s way to bring life into this world, and You have entrusted them with children who are precious in Your sight. We pray for each of these women today. Give them the wisdom they need—at whatever life stage they are in—to be a source of strength, support, and encouragement to their families. Thank You for godly women. Thank You for their sacrifices, for the difference they make in our world, and for their boldness, courage, and tenacity. May You sustain them. Be attentive to the prayers they have prayed and to the requests they have cried to You in the still places in the night. Bless them, Father, and renew their strength.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

A mother’s faith can change the course of her family for generations to come. My mom’s life is just one example of that. You can read more about my parents’ story in their book, An Extraordinary Life, available on our online store. It’s a powerful testimony of what can happen when you consistently choose to say “yes” to the Lord.
