You were making good progress through the action-packed opening of your Bible—and then you hit the books of Leviticus and Numbers. As you read through the long lists of rules, laws, sacrifices, and people, you may have wondered, “How does this relate to my faith today? Can’t I just skip these books and read something else in the Bible?”

Pastor Allen knew we’d need some encouragement as we worked through this portion of our daily Bible Reading Plan, so he recently preached three different sermons on Leviticus. Leviticus reminds us there is an Almighty God who sets boundaries and limits for our lives—and He doesn’t take a vote. You can watch the sermons here:

When you commit to reading your Bible every day in a systematic way, it exposes you to the character of God across the breadth of Scripture, and it changes you. You may not understand it all, and some days will feel more meaningful than others, but as you read, you will see the people of God, the character of God, and the faithfulness of God revealed throughout the story. We will need this knowledge to be able to stand in this season.

With our Bible Reading Plan and about 15 minutes each day, you can read through the entire Bible in a year. You don’t have to wait for the new year to join us—start today!
