Philippians 4:4–9 (NIV84®)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. … And the God of peace will be with you.
Mid-Day Prayer
Almighty God, You have called us out of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of Your Son. You have made provision for our forgiveness and complete transformation. In our pride and arrogance, we have turned away from You. Look upon us with mercy, forgive us once again, give us understanding hearts, pour out your Spirit upon us, deliver us from evil. May the name of Jesus be exalted in our generation. Amen.

Romans 8:35–39 (NIV84®)
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
