Happy Easter! What a blessing it is to celebrate the Risen Christ with you today! Trouble and turmoil may lead the headlines, but I assure you that God is moving in more profound and significant ways than the kingdom of darkness, and Easter is a reminder that joy always comes in the morning!
Whatever you are facing in your life today, the power of God that rolled away the burial stone and raised Christ from the dead is available to you. Freedom is available to you. Mercy, forgiveness, peace, strength, and joy are all available through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful day and the honor we have of celebrating Your Son. We pause to acknowledge Your grace and great love for us. Thank You, Jesus, for Your faithful obedience in offering Yourself that we might be set free. We receive Your life into our lives, Your strength into our bodies, Your hope into our souls, and Your peace into our midst. We rejoice that the same Spirit that brought You out of the tomb is alive within us today. You have truly blessed us, and we thank You for it.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today, I encourage you to look beyond the secular trappings of Easter and truly take time to celebrate God’s great love and Jesus’ sacrifice for you. Now that’s good news!
