Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We have lived as the prodigal. We demanded our inheritance, our blessings, and we have lived recklessly. Forgive us for ignoring Your truth while pretending to be obedient. We repent and choose a new path. We choose to follow, to wait, to persevere, to overcome … we choose to be content—in Jesus. Holy Spirit, help us to understand the glorious riches of Christ. Amen.
Mid-Day Proclamation
Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV®)
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Evening Prayer
1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV®)
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Almighty God,
You have called us out of darkness. You have established us in righteousness. You have sanctified us. Forgive us for grumbling about the difficulty of the journey and failing to believe in Your great strength. We repent of our stubborn unbelief. We choose to follow You with our whole heart! We will not stop, we will not turn aside, we will not forget—You have shed Your grace upon us; Your mercies are new every morning. Holy Spirit, sustain us. Open our hearts to receive a revelation of our Lord and King. Let Jesus’ name be exalted throughout the earth. Amen.
