God has specific assignments for men, husbands, and fathers, and our nation desperately needs them to stand in those roles. As they open their hearts to the Spirit of God, He’ll provide the wisdom, and endurance, and clarity they need to navigate each day, leading them on a path that brings contentment in time and rewards for all eternity.
Let’s pray for today’s fathers:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the life of each father we know. Thank You for the gifts You’ve given to them, and the way they’ve blessed our lives.
Lord, You know the prayers they pray to You; the burdens they carry; and the questions that echo in their hearts. We pray You would minister to them through the Spirit of the Living God. Bring hope, and life, and joy to them. Bring a purpose to their days beyond the responsibilities they carry, and the burdens they bear.
We pray You would give them a revelation of Yourself—of how to serve and love their families, so Your plans come forth in them, and through them. Awaken a generation of men to follow You, unlike anything we have seen before. We ask you to pour out Your blessings upon these men.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Fatherhood was God’s idea. The best opportunity children have to become faithful disciples of Jesus of Nazareth is if their father chooses that path first. Fathers and men, it’s time to take our place and stand. God has brought a purpose to our lives, and value to our days that is beyond the accumulation of stuff. Our intent is to honor the Lord!
Onward in Him,
Pastor Allen Jackson
