Celebrating 250 Years of Faith & Freedom — Part 4

Jul 11, 2026 | USA 250

America has never been a uniquely Christian nation, but there is no doubt that our Christian faith has played a critical role in our nation's development. Here’s how Pastor Allen explains it:

Our biblical worldview tells us that all life—from the very young to the very old—is created by and in the image of God and should therefore be protected (Genesis 1:27Isaiah 49:1).

It teaches unequivocally that marriage was God’s idea and that He established its boundaries (Matthew 19:4–6).

It sets legal boundaries on equality before the law (Deuteronomy 16:19) and provides rules against killing, stealing, and lying (Deuteronomy 5:17–21).

For decades, shared belief in these values—which are all part of a biblical worldview— bound this country together. These shared values led Christians to found schools and hospitals, to fight for civil rights and equal rights for women, and to respond when disasters or war afflicted others. They’ve led America to become one of the longest-lasting countries founded, not on a shared ethnicity, but on common values and ideals.

This is a heritage worth celebrating—and one we cannot afford to surrender. Let’s live and uphold our faith so God can bless America again.
